Tiare Jennings Signs with Spark



OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma — The Oklahoma City Spark is delighted to announce the signing of Tiare Jennings, a four-peat powerhouse from San Pedro, California, for the rest of the 2024 season. She will make her Spark debut tomorrow night, July 2nd at 7pm against the Chattanooga Steam for Superhero Night. Jennings, known for her exceptional hitting and defensive skills, brings an extraordinary list of accomplishments to the Spark lineup.


Jennings capped off her 2024 National Championship season at the University of Oklahoma with a .370 batting average, amassing 74 hits and 69 RBIs over 200 at-bats, and launching an impressive 25 home runs. Her defensive capabilities were equally remarkable, with a .984 fielding percentage. These outstanding performances earned her a spot on the 2024 WCWS All-Tournament Team and recognition as a top 10 finalist for the 2024 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award. She was also named to the All-Big 12 First Team and the NFCA All-Region First Team. Jennings will represent Team USA this summer at the WBSC World Cup. 


Jennings’ career milestones further underscore her exceptional talent. She has accumulated 314 career RBIs, placing her fifth in NCAA history, and her 98 career home runs rank third in NCAA history.


Her 2023 season was equally notable, as she earned recognition as a 2023 NFCA First Team All-American, a spot on the 2023 WCWS All-Tournament Team, and was a top 10 finalist for the 2023 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award. She also received 2023 NFCA All-Central Region First Team honors, was named to the 2023 All-Big 12 First Team, and was part of the 2023 Big 12 Softball Championship All-Tournament Team.

Jennings' addition signifies a substantial boost for the OKC Spark as they continue their competitive 2024 season.
