Oklahoma City, OK --- The Oklahoma City Spark welcomes newest player to the roster.
Chelsea Alexander, former outfielder at Oklahoma State University, will join the Spark for the upcoming season. Alexander, a graduate of Latta, Oklahoma, played for the Cowgirls for five years under Coach Kenny Gajewski. While at Oklahoma State, Chelsea was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team, three-time First Team Academic All-Big 12, and All-Big 12 Team.
Alexander was instrumental in the Cowgirls advancement to the Women’s College World Series in 2021, and set single-season program records for runs scored, home runs, runs batted in, total bases, total bases per game, and slugging percentage. “I’m thrilled for the opportunity to continue playing the sport I’ve always loved, especially here in my home state. I look forward to being a part of growing this league and building opportunities for the future generation of softball players.” Chelsea Alexander
“Chelsea is just a great young lady both on and off the field. Her athleticism is amazing and she will be a great addition to the OKC Spark. I was so impressed with Chelsea the first time I met her. She is smart, athletic, and has a drive to win, all qualities of the 2023 Spark Team.” Tina Floyd
