OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma — The Oklahoma City Spark is thrilled to announce their highly anticipated 2024 schedule, promising an action-packed season filled with intense matchups and thrilling moments. All home games will take place at the iconic USA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. In addition, home games will be live-streamed for free and air on Cox’s YurView, channel 3.
The Spark's journey kicks off on June 19th with an exciting away tournament hosted by the Chattanooga Steam during their first season, setting the stage for an electrifying start to the season. Other participating teams include the Florida Vibe and New York Rise. The team will then return to Oklahoma City’s USA Hall of Fame Stadium for a thrilling home opener against the Great Britain Women's National Team on June 27th and 28th, followed by riveting matchups against the legendary Team USA on June 29th and 30th.
As July heats up, the Spark will face a series of formidable opponents, including two home series against the Chattanooga Steam and the New York Rise. The team will then continue their road trip in New York City! The Spark is set to take on the New York Rise during their inaugural season with a series beginning on July 16th. Going back to Oklahoma City, the Spark returns home for a series against the Florida Vibe on July 20th.
One of the highlights of the season will include the OKC Spark's participation in the first-ever Champion Cup in Chattanooga from July 24-27, where the team will show off their power in a home run derby and showcase their prowess in a tournament that draws road games to a close.
The excitement continues into August, with the Spark concluding their season with a home series against the women’s All Army Softball team on August 2nd and 3rd, promising a grand finale to an exhilarating season in Oklahoma City. This series will include a fastpitch game, slowpitch game, and home run derby.
Spark Head Coach Amber Flores expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming season, stating, "Our team is super pumped to get back to work and prepare for the 2024 season, and we are eager to face these top-caliber teams. With new opponents, we believe it will only bring out the best in our players. We look forward to growing softball at the international level and delivering thrilling performances for our loyal fans."
