OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma — The Oklahoma City Spark is thrilled to announce that Kinzie Hansen will be returning for the 2025 season! A four-time National Champion from the University of Oklahoma, Hansen’s decision to continue her professional career with the Spark is a testament to her commitment to excellence and her belief in the future of professional softball.
Hansen made an immediate impact during her rookie season, bringing her championship pedigree, exceptional hitting, and stellar defense to the Spark. The Spark won the inaugural Champion Cup in Chattanooga, Tennessee in the same stadium where she hit a home run during her first at bat in June. Her leadership on and off the field quickly made her a fan favorite and a key player in the team’s success. As a former Sooner, Hansen’s second home in Oklahoma is particularly special for local fans who have followed her storied career from college to the professional ranks.
During the 2024 season, she posted a .333 batting average with a .472 OBP and .690 SLG. She had 11 RBIs, 3 home runs, and 14 hits across the 27-game season. She will spend the Spark off-season on the OU Softball staff as a graduate assistant coach.
