OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma — The Oklahoma City Spark is thrilled to announce that Chelsea Fitzgerald - formerly Alexander - will be joining the Spark staff as their new Director of Corporate Partnerships! In this strategic leadership role, Chelsea will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with corporate partners, sponsors, and community organizations to drive the team’s business growth and brand presence both locally and nationally. Before stepping into this new role with the Spark, Chelsea made her mark as a professional athlete with the team during their first season in 2023.
As an ambassador for the team, she engaged with fans, sponsors, and media, showcasing her ability to balance athletic responsibilities with high-level communication and networking. Her experience as a player will serve as a valuable asset in her new role, allowing her to bridge the gap between on-field performance and off-field business operations.
Chelsea's extensive professional background spans both the sports and business worlds. She previously worked as a Business Development Associate at The Innovation Foundation at Oklahoma State University, where she helped startups access funding, mentoring, and educational resources.
A graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Master of Business Administration and an Entrepreneurship Certificate, Chelsea's academic success is underscored by her dedication and commitment to excellence. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications and was recognized as a nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year in 2022, alongside several athletic honors during her time as a Division I student-athlete.
